In Internet Explorer 9, sometimes when CRM windows are opened or closed, CRM crashes and restarts. This article describes the problem and a workaround.
The workaround is to create a registry setting to disable the Internet Explorer 9 Hang Resistance Feature. The required registry setting is:
HKEY_Current_UserSoftware\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\HangRecovery
Set the value to 0.
If HangRecovery does not exist, create it as a DWORD (32-bit).
