Application mode runs CRM in Internet Explorer without the menu bar, address bar and file pull-downs.
Application mode is set in Settings | Administration | System Settings – Customization Tab. This setting applies to all sessions of CRM regardless of who starts it.
To run CRM in a normal Internet Explorer window for just one session browse to http://crmserver/loader.aspx
